Hummels are collected, enjoyed, treasured, and passed down generation after generation. Noted for the heartwarming renderings of Bavarian children, Berta Hummel, born May 21, 1909, used the sights and sounds of her rural village of Massing, Germany, as inspiration for her art. Finely crafted in Roedental Germany by Goebel artisans through 2008. Each Hummel figurine depicts the simple joys of childhood in its many facets.
