Catherine Hunter is a Belgian artist. She created
her first hens entirely by hand in 1999. She
presented them at selected exhibitions and the
success was immediate.
Within a short time, Catherine could not cope with
the orders, which was when she decided to have
the hens made in the faiencerie of Longchamp in
Burgundy (France). This is where she had
sourced and found the potters who were able to
produce her hens in the way she originally
designed them.
